Reasoning that truncates: when the model eats the answer's budget
In a RAG document assistant, one answer in four reached the user cut off mid-sentence — and the metrics recorded it as “the model has no answer”. The cause was not retrieval, but the fact that in reasoning models the output-token cap limits reasoning plus answer combined, and reasoning is served first.
Anthropic restores global access to Fable 5
From July 1, 2026, Anthropic makes Claude Fable 5 available again worldwide, after the June 30 removal of the export controls that had forced its suspension. The model is once more accessible on Claude Platform, Claude.ai, Claude Code, and Claude Cowork.
